FRIENDS OF THE FELLS AND THERAPY IN THE WOODS PRESENT MIDDLESEX FELLS FOREST BATHING
Medford, MA (September 10, 2018)- It is with great pleasure that I announce my collaboration with the Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation in introducing forest bathing walks at the Fells. The walks will begin in September and run until the end of November and will be offered at various dates and times to accommodate all schedules. The Fells is a wonderful natural setting close to Boston and surrounding towns and it is my hope that through these walks, you will all grow to love this beautiful land and connect to it in ways you didn’t think possible. Forest Bathing is known as Shinrin-Yoku in Japan, where the practice gained popularity in the 1980s. A slow walk in the woods has been scientifically proven to offer mental and physical health benefits. In addition, many participants also report a spiritual benefit from engaging with nature through this practice. You can find out more information at https://www.friendsofthefells.org/forest-bathing/ or by emailing me at therapyinthewoods@gmail.com
