Preschool Social Academy
For nearly two decades, Preschool Social Academy (PSA) has nurtured creative, curious young minds. Founded in 2008 by Kimberly Higgins, PSA was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to make early learning joyful, meaningful, and engaging.
While studying early childhood education, Kimberly was drawn to the Reggio Emilia approach—an educational philosophy that emphasizes collaboration, community, and learning through exploration, both indoors and outdoors. Today, PSA is the only full-day preschool north of Boston to follow the Reggio approach. The school strives to spend at least 33% of each day outdoors, encouraging children to learn through hands-on discovery and connection with nature.
PSA’s dedicated teaching team is passionate, experienced, and highly educated. Every classroom includes at least one teacher with a degree in early education or a related field, and the school’s exceptionally low teacher turnover provides children with the consistency and stability so important during their formative years.
Beyond the classroom, PSA is deeply committed to giving back to the community. From hosting free annual Pony Rides for children under five, to sponsoring the Town Day Fishing Derby, to opening its doors to alumni and siblings when Winchester Public Schools closed unexpectedly during an emergency, PSA leads with heart.
If you are seeking the very best in early education, look no further than Preschool Social Academy—where the very best in our teachers meets the very best in your children
