The En Ka Society has made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel this spring’s En Ka Fair, originally scheduled for the weekend of May 15th – 16th. The decision was made both for public health reasons and because of impossible logistics due to mandatory closures. This is very sad news for our members, volunteers and our entire community who look forward to this annual tradition that began in 1935. We want to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who have already spent a tremendous amount of time, energy and financial resources planning this year’s fair.

The mission of the En Ka Society is to aid various non-profit organizations and initiatives that serve the people of Winchester and residents in need, who are referred to us by established social welfare programs. We provide both monetary assistance and have direct service programs in the community. Funding for these services is raised primarily through our annual town-wide fair and our resale store, En Ka Exchange, located in Winchester. With our biggest fundraiser now canceled we will pursue other fundraising events with the goal of providing continued support to our community.

Thankfully, we live in a community that is very connected, engaged and proactive in stepping up to help others. En Ka will remain dedicated to its mission which includes assisting those in need. If you would like to learn more about what we do, reach out to En Ka for assistance or make a donation, please visit our website at enkasociety.org. We appreciate your understanding, support and wish our community and all communities near and far a safe and healthy spring.

With much appreciation,

The En Ka Society Board workersfirst
