PILATES FOR HEALTHY BONES CLASSES
Our classes are focused on increasing your strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and body awareness by implementing the exercises that are safe and useful to stimulate bone density. These classes are especially useful if you have osteoporosis/osteopenia. We will modify traditional Pilates exercises to avoid motions contraindicated for osteoporosis (including loaded forward flexion, extreme lateral flexion and end-range spinal rotation). We will emphasize on exercises that support spinal extension, decompression, and bone health.
