Building Community: Finding Yourself in the Immigrant Story

Sunday, April 28 3:00PM-5:00PM

Winchester Public Library Large Meeting Room

Please join us for an afternoon of storytelling and dialogue around the theme of immigration. In conjunction with the YWCA’s nation-wide Take a Stand Against Racism campaign, learn from the powerful stories of local women who are immigrants, including Salma Abounadi, Chrep Ket, Phuni Meston, and Juanita Zerda. Hear about ongoing legal developments shaping the immigration landscape in Massachusetts from Matt Segal, the Legal Director of the ALCU of Massachusetts.

Increase your understanding of the challenges immigrants face, and learn what we all can do, in Winchester and beyond, to create a welcoming, supportive community. This program is free and accessible for all.
